Congratulations to Michael Williams - TRIPLE National Champion
Michael, who last year won the Under 11 years black
belt Kata event, moved up to the 11-14 years age group and won the Kata
event again. He won the Under 5'0" Kumite event, beating our own Lewis
Collins in the final, and also teamed up with Elyssia Johnston, both
performing brilliantly in the Jiyu-Ippon Kumite event to take the title. It
didn't stop there as Michael also won a silver medal in the Team Kata and a
bronze in the Grand Kata event.
Elyssia, herself won a second National Title in the
Under 5'0" Kumite event, and another double first place winner was Ryan
Copeland, in the Kata and 5 step events.
