BLACK BELT GRADING Results Over 100 Black & Brown belt students from the Academy attended the ETKF Course with master Kawasoe, held in Windsor on 29 November 2009. After the course, 20 of our students were successful in the black belt gradings. This year the Academy has had a fantastic total of 49 black belt passes. Our congratulations this time go to new 1st dans, Mitchell Wollen, Calesse Johnston, Francesca Burt, Vicki Lawrence, Rebecca Tuffin, Tony White, John Staines, Joshua Lillis, David Crate, Stephen Jackson, Eleanor Beaumont, Kiera Greet, Byrun Spink, Connor Webster, and Jordan Linsley. EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS '09 Well done to the ETKF England team for their efforts at the Traditional Karate European Championships in Italy this October.

Four of the Academy's top competitors have been chosen to represent England at the European Traditional Karate Championships to be held in Slovenia, May 2007. The event will be presided over by ITKF chief instructor Master H. Nishiyama 9th dan. Congratulations and good luck to Lee Wiseman, Chris Tomlinson, John Dickson and Marites Tomlinson.

Another group of Academy students have made the grade with master Kawasoe. Well done to our eight new black belts and four new 2nd dans. Special congratulations are due to Ray Wong and Mike Gibbons who passed their 3rd dan gradings. The successful 1st dan passes were Reg Waghorn, Emma Church, Sophie Jones, James Strong, Lewis Collins, Alex Burt, Tilly Pearman and Leo Dunster.
