Kevin Paskins won the Senior Mens
Individual Kata title, and completed a unique treble. He has now won this
title at junior, cadet and senior levels.
Kevin also placed third in the Individual
Kumite, and teamed up with Sam Benny and Mike Gibbons to take the Team Kata
title.
The Ladies Individual Kumite title was
won by Lande Fourie and at cadet level, our most successful competitor was
1st kyu, John Dickson Jnr, who won both the Individual Kata and Kumite
titles. Lee Wiseman was also outstanding, leading the boys to Team Kata
victory and finishing as runner-up in the Individual Kata with a fine
rendition of the kata Nijushiho.
Well done to our cadet girls, who in
their first UKTKF championships, all returned with medals.
