Three members of the Academy, Marites Tomlinson, Lee Wiseman and John Dickson, were part of the UKTKF representing the United Kingdom at the championships held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
John Dickson*John Lowe*Lee Wiseman*Luke Taylor*Nathan Bond*Jason Hitchings*Danny Jordan*Marli Ekkerd*Marites Tomlinson The Team Kumite of Jason Hitchings, John Lowe, Nathan Bond and Luke Taylor put in a great performance, beating Russia in the first round and narrowly losing to Italy by one wazari in the next round. Italy went on to be crowned champions, beating Poland in the final. Both Lee Wiseman and Danny Jordan reached the semi-final stage of the individual kata, and were unlucky not to progress further. Marites Tomlinson, Marli Ekkerd and John Dickson all lost to finalists in their Fuku-go events.
