WUKF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
3rd-6th November 2022
Westwood members travelled to Florence, Italy to compete for TSKUK in the European Championships over three days.
We returned with 24 medals and 3 European Champions!

black belt gradings
25th September 2022
Five Westwood students successfully passed their 1st dan and 2nd dan gradings following the TSKUK two day international training course. Congratulations to Emily Cole, Jude Holland, Josie d'Urbal, Austin Jose, Zak Alone-Jolly, and Rio Patel (2nd dan). An advanced senior grading was also held, and we are pleased to announce that Hayley Mitchell passed Yondan (4th dan).

JSKA EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
9th & 10th July 2022
Westwood members had a very successful two days competing in Guildford, winning European titles in six individual events, and seven team events. We managed to take all three podium places in three individual events while winning a total of 21 Gold, 8 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals. Congratulations everyone.

TSKUK national championships
22nd May 2022
Congratulations to all the Westwood members who represented the Academy at the this year's TSKUK championships. We won an amazing total of 30 gold, 17 silver, and 27 bronze medals.
To top it off, Mac Oats was awarded the outstanding competitor of the day trophy for his three gold medals, which he later added to when his kumite team stepped up to the higher age group, and won that too, making his total for the day 4 gold medals.

tskuk course & black belt grading

The TSKUK Free Spring Course was held at Waterside Farm Leisure Centre on Canvey with the senior association instructors teaching all grade levels in six different classes.
The Course was followed by a black belt grading and we would like to congratulate the following students on passing their 1st dan and 2nd dan examinations. Aisling Dodd, Ben Strachan, John Bowers, Ethan MacMahon, and Sebastian Marchant, and Victor d'Urbal (2nd dan)

legend open shotokan championships

Brilliant results for Westwood competitors representing TSKUK at the Legend Open, our first outing for two years due to the Covid pandemic.

A great day was complete when the TSKUK team won the special trophy awarded to the squad demonstrating the best etiquette, spirit, and budo attitude.

tskuk course and black belt gradings
12th & 13th February 2022
After an intensive two days of training led by Sensei George Best 8th dan, a black belt grading was conducted by TSKUK's Sensei Alan Parrish 7th dan and Sensei Jason Hitchings 6th dan. Four Westwood members successfully passed their 1st dan gradings, and two passed the senior level gradings
