Brilliant results for Westwood competitors representing TSKUK at the Legend Open, our first outing for two years due to the Covid pandemic.
Individual Kata winners GOLD - Brandon Aguinaldo, Daniel Allen, Jacqui Harrington, Stuart James. SILVER - Preston James, Mac Oats, Michael Stead Individual Kumite winners GOLD - Mya Francis, Joseph Holland, Rio Patel, Yukie Sato, Joseph Sutton. SILVER - Summer Leaver, Hannah Mitchell BRONZE - Andy Conroy, Dexter Munson, Emilia Plummer Team Kata winners GOLD - Mya Francis, Sienna Keenan, Jasmine Harmon, Tommy Grigson, Sofia Chaston, Scarlett Stead, Hannah Mitchell SILVER - Brandon Aguinaldo, Mac Oats, Rio Patel Team Kumite winners GOLD - Hannah Mitchell SILVER - Joeseph Sutton, Joeseph Holland, Brandon Aguinaldo, Daniel Allen, Michael Stead. A great day was complete when the TSKUK team won the special trophy awarded to the squad demonstrating the best etiquette, spirit, and budo attitude. |
tskuk course and black belt gradings

After an intensive two days of training led by Sensei George Best 8th dan, a black belt grading was conducted by TSKUK's Sensei Alan Parrish 7th dan and Sensei Jason Hitchings 6th dan. Four Westwood members successfully passed their 1st dan gradings, and two passed the senior level gradings

We started the new year with a bang, as more than 70 members took part in our club competition with great spirit and sportsmanship.
