Welcome to Westwood Karate Academy
We are based on the London Road in Leigh-on-Sea, and also run classes at five other venues in the area. We teach traditional shotokan karate to children and adults of all ages from the age of 4 years. Whether you are looking for a martial art to enhance your life socially, mentally and physically, an activity the whole family can do together, or a sport to excel in, you'll find it all here at Westwood Academy.

HONBU DOJO. We opened our London Road full time Headquarters dojo in 2013 and hold classes here for all age groups 6 days a week. You can see our complete class timetable here
CANVEY DOJO. Sensei Alan was training here way back in 1976 and we're still running children's classes at Waterside Farm today. See our complete class timetable here
HOCKLEY/HAWKWELL DOJO. We opened our Clements Hall dojo in 1994. You'll find us upstairs in the projectile room. See our complete class timetable here
WESTCLIFF DOJO. Chase Sports and fitness Centre. We hold classes for adults and children upstairs in the Gymnasium. See our complete class timetable here
RAYLEIGH DOJO. When Rayleigh Leisure Centre opened it's doors, we started our classes for children and adults the same week. See our complete class timetable here
